Every design studio has its own style. When it comes to furniture, we are fans of modern minimalism and the chic,  and contemporary styles. We like to incorporate form, function and simplicity into our designs.

Why "Furniture Fantasies"?

This phrase describes the purpose of our company very well. When you want to furnish your home, You can easily find many interesting ideas. When you go looking for that perfect piece of furniture that addresses all your desires exactly, you don't find it. So, in a sense it becomes a simple "fantasy" that you can't get. This is where we come in, because there is no idea of ​​yours that we cannot work on to create that design.

We established "Furniture Fantasies" in 2024, because we recognized the lack of a company with the ability to design unique furniture and make it with quality and attention to detail.

The company's lead designer, Dale C. Murley, is an American with a lot of experience in the design field. He has even received awards in international design competitions. While maintaining his residence in Maimón, RD, he currently also serves as lead designer for the company DaVinci Spas, located in Denver, Colorado.

The owner of the company, Sheila M. Santiago Murley, is known locally for her creativity and quality. She is also the owner of the small business 'Alegra', a gift and event decorating company located in Maimón, Dominican Republic.

All of our furniture is pre-ordered by our customers. We do not maintain a stock of furniture. When a customer is looking for a certain piece of furniture, they contact us and we begin a dialogue. The customer describes to us roughly what they are looking for, sometimes supplying drawings or images. We send the customer a very basic design with the cost of creating the piece of furniture. When our customer is ready to hire us, they give us half of the price as a down payment. Before we begin manufacturing the furniture, we create a detailed design of the furniture and send it to the customer to confirm that we meet the customer's specifications and criteria. After our customer confirms the design, we begin the process of manufacturing it. When the furniture is ready, the customer gives us the other half of the payment to schedule pickup of the item.

We do not have a delivery service. It is our customer's responsibility to make separate arrangements for shipping. We always stress the importance of using professional and responsible people to pick up our products, so that they reach our customers without suffering any damage in transit. When the person who picks up the furniture arrives, we first require that he thoroughly inspect the furniture to verify that it is in perfect condition. If he sees it as such, we require him to sign a document stating the same. With this, we pack the furniture to protect the finish from scratches. However, the person who is transporting the furniture will need to add other forms of furniture protection, especially if he is transporting it in a truck. Thus, when the customer receives it, any damage to the furniture becomes the responsibility of the transport company and the customer will have to deal with it directly.

We serve the entire Dominican Republic. Although our company is unrivaled in the country, that does not mean that our services are beyond the reach of the average citizen. We do not inflate our prices simply because we have no competition. It is our desire to see everyone who appreciates fine and unique furniture realize their furniture fantasy.

Question: Do you have a furniture catalog that you can send me?

Answer: We do not keep a catalog, because our designs include endless possibilities.

If you would like to see some ideas, we recommend doing an internet search. For example, if you are interested in a design for a bedroom dresser, you can search for "modern minimalist style dresser" (or put in the style you prefer), and look at the images of the results. If you are interested in one of these, you can send it to us with any other comments on the design you are looking for. With this information, we can guide you to the specific design that pleases you.

Question: Is the furniture you make expensive?

Answer: No. They generally follow the prices of quality furniture sold in fine furniture stores.

Question: What types of payment do you accept?

Answer: Typically, our clients pay us by electronic transfer (example; to our account at BanReservas, or by Caribe Express.)

Question: What types of wood do you work with?

Answer: We can use the type of wood that you prefer. Of course, certain woods are more readily available than others. Also, the price of wood varies greatly from one type to another. If the furniture is to be painted, thus completely hiding the texture of the wood, we recommend using 'MDF Exterior grade' because it is very resistant to damage caused by humidity, termites and woodworms. In addition, it is a precise wood that allows for the creation of extremely precise furniture.

Question: What types of finishes do you offer?

Answer: We offer all types of finishes. The type of paint, color, gloss can be chosen by the client. But we always offer suggestions in this regard.

Question: How long does it take to deliver the furniture?

Answer: Each design determines the time. In general, once we receive the deposit, in three to four weeks the furniture would be ready for delivery.

Question: What types of furniture hardware do you use?

Answer: For example, when the furniture has drawers, we mount them with ball-bearing slides. In general, we get these locally. Other pieces, such as furniture legs and handles, oftentimes are purchased from outside the country through Amazon.com because they offer much more variety and better quality. Although they come from far away, they usually arrive within two weeks.
